MONTGOMERY 2, SANTANA 1

In a reverse of the other night when the Santana Sultans were able to rally from a two-goal halftime deficit the Montgomery Aztecs were able to hold off any Sultans comeback.

Leading 2-0 at the half the Aztecs knew if they could hold off the fierce Sultans offense they would win. Santana tried to pull out the rally as they knocked one in the second half thanks to Nathan Hughes who was assisted by Omar Nuristani.

Unfortunately, the two-goal deficit was one the Sultans couldn’t overcome as they had previously against Hoover as they were held to the lone goal in the second half.

With the loss, the Sultans were knocked out of the tournament due to other factors and will now head into non-league play.

The Sultans will next face Steele Canyon at home on Wednesday, December the 18th at 4:30 P.M.

Santana’s record is now 6-2-1 and they are ranked in the top half of their Division according to MaxPreps.
