SANTEE – Long before the storm the Wolf Pack created their own brand of a storm with their black and blue defense as they were able to have their way with the visiting Cougars from the North County.

On the night the opportunistic black and blue defense wreaked havoc as they were able to sack the Cougars six times on the night including a combined four by both Hunter Gauthier and Trent Oberg.

Not only did the defense shine and wreaked havoc but the offense was able to flourish as Jordin Young accumulated almost 200 yards of total offense as he ran for a score and also hooked up with Gauthier for a touchdown score.

The actual storm came down super heavy and the game was delayed and everyone was moved to the gym to carry on the homecoming festivities.

Leading by three scores the game was never really in doubt as Escondido was having trouble against the defense of the Wolf Pack.

Another target of Young was Travis Deal who hauled in a couple for 41 yards.

Besides the game, a nice tribute was paid as both teams sported JA helmet stickers to honor the late for Boys basketball coach Jeff Armstrong.

With the win, the Wolf Pack moved to 7-1 and will face Mount Miguel next week.
