STEELE CANYON 7, CHAPARRAL (TEMECULA) 2

ESCONDIDO (3-9-20) – With the score tied in the bottom of the fifth the Cougars would ultimately put the game away propelled by a Janea Wilson RBI single.

Early on Chaparral would lead 1-0 in the top of the first thanks to a solo home run but Steele Canyon in the bottom of the second inning would take momentum.

A one-out Breanna Perez double followed by a 2 out single by Masen Pearlstein would tie the game at 1-1. The next batter Mariah Mata followed with a base hit to bring home Pearlstein and give them a 2-1 lead.

However, the momentum only lasted shortly as Chaparral tied the game with a leadoff solo home-run.

Later on, Kimberly Jaggard would round out the scoring with an RBI single.

Into pitch for the Cougars was Davina Moya who despite giving up a double would finish things off to procure the game.
