SPRING VALLEY (10-18-19) – For the third year in a row the Steele Canyon Cougars made it look easy in their victory over rival Valhalla to keep the “Jamacha Helmet.”

For the Cougars, Wes Neely scored twice and ran for 99 yards on 9 carries. He would give them an early 7-0 lead when he dashed his way for 43-yards.

Neely would extend the Cougars lead to 14-0 once again with another run this time from 15 yards out.

They would eventually lead 35-0 at halftime thanks to Christopher Carter who scored twice on runs of 19 and 26 yards and also Isaac Carreno who scored on a 51-yard run.

Valhalla would eventually get on the board in the fourth quarter but not before they trailed 42-0 after Chance Johnson who scored on one of his two kickoff returns.

Johnson for the Cougars returned kickoffs of 78 and 84 yards for scores.

On the night the Cougars tallied 264 yards of total offense.

Steele Canyon with the win not only retains the coveted Jamacha Helmet but also remains undefeated at 8-0 and 3-0 in league while Valhalla falls to 3-5 and 0-3.
