EAGLES PULL OUT CLOSE ONE AGAINST HAWKS

In tournament action the Granite Hills Eagles took on the Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks and were able to score the 62-54 victory on the road.
In the first quarter for the Eagles, Austin Ballo led the scoring with 9 points on all three pointers to lead the team and help the Eagles score 20 points. The second quarter was a little sluggish as they only scored 12 points.
Granite in the second half came out slow and in the third quarter only mustered 9 points total but in the fourth quarter picked things up a little as they scored 21 points.
Leading the way for the Eagles was Ballo who hit 7 three pointers to lead the team with 25 points, Moses Smith contributed 12 points which included going 7 of 9 from the foul line.
“A road win is always good, but we have some work to do to get where we want to be.” Said Eagles Coach Duffy on the fact that the game was as close as it was.
Next up for the Eagles is a trip up the road to Ramona on Thursday evening to take on the Bulldogs in a Santana shootout contest.
