San Diego – In a battle of two of more stories programs in the County, the No. 3 Helix Highlanders traveled to Mesa College to take on the Saint Augustine Saints.

However the real hoopla was Isaac Taylor-Stuart and his playing against his former team with whom he had for the past three years. Stuart on the night ran for 67 yards on 11 carries and a score against his former team which occurred with 25 seconds left in the third quarter.

Like last week when the running game set the tone, this week it did the same as Eleyon Noa scored twice in the first half on his way to 84 yards on the night.

The passing game for the Highlanders was pretty good as well as Carson Baker completed 10 of 16 pass attempts for 186 yards. His receivers Rashad Scott caught 4 passes for 38 yards while Taylor-Stuart caught one for 30 yards.

The Scotties struck first on the scoreboard when Baker found Isaiah Wood for a 70-yard strike on his way to a total of 84 yards in the game.

Helix struck again when Noa was able to rumble his way to the end zone for a 16 yard score but the PAT was missed so the lead was 13-0.

Saints pulled within a touchdown when JR Justice made a crazy 25 yard catch to pull within 13-7. However that score was answered by a Noa TD run and a 2 PT conversion to make it 21-7.

The Highlanders from there just rolled to the victory.

SCORE: Helix 35, Saint Augustine 7

RECORDS: Helix (3-1), Saint Augustine (2-3)

KEY STAT: The Highlanders for the second straight week were able to dominate the yardage total as they tallied 347 yards compared to the 253 by Saints. For the second week in a row the Highlanders dominate a parochial school in unbelievable fashion. Last week they dominated Cathedral Catholic 39-0.

NOTES: Rashad Scott for Helix now has 4 TD catches on the season and Baker has now thrown 11 TD passes.
