It was domination, sheer domination from the beginning of the contest on Friday night at the Battle of the Musket 2018 edition part 2.

The Highlanders who usually dominate the Foothillers took it to another level in front of a large playoff atmosphere at home. The halftime score would end up being seeing Helix lead 61-7 as they would receive 5 touchdowns on the ground from Elelyon Noa for 76, 20, 26, 63 and 1 yards, 2 touchdowns for 70 and 2 yards from Delshawn Traylor, a Daniel Amon to Chris Rivera 26 yard hookup and a Joshua Shields score.

Grossmont would finally get on the board thanks to a Robert Tucker 5-yard rushing touchdown.

The Highlanders for the evening would rack up 554 yards while only running 27 plays and on the defensive side of the ball would hold the Foothillers to 112 yards on 39 plays. Noa did all his damage in the first half as he ran for 325 yards on 12 carries, quarterback Amon threw for 74 yards on 3-of-5 passing and a score while rushing for 82 yards on 3 carries.

Offensively the Grossmont Foothillers struggled as Jaime Odom threw for only 140 yards on 10-of-26 passing and was picked off 4 times, Tucker on the ground was held to 9 yards on 6 carries, wideout Skip Waltower caught 3 balls for 68 yards.

With the score, the way it was at intermission the clock would be in running mode for the entire second half. The only score of the second half came courtesy of Joshua Shields when he was able to zip his way for a 14-yard score to round out the Highlander scoring on the night.

It was a tough end for the Foothillers after their big upset the previous week over Madison while the Highlanders will move on and hope to carry on the momentum down to the South Bay as they take on the #2 seed Eastlake Titans in the Semi-Finals.
