El Centro – Like their counter parts the Sultans, the Mount Miguel Matadors traveled down to the desert to take on the Imperial Tigers and had their way most of the contest.

For the majority of the contest the Matadors and their defense was having their way with the Tigers. Mount Miguel went up 7-0 early on and in the second quarter would extend their lead 13-0 when Santino Pacheco stepped in front of a pass by Wyatt Rodriguez and was able to high tail it to the house.

The Tigers were their own worst enemy for most of the night as every time their offense drove the field they would come up empty as they would turn the ball over various ways.

However things changed in the second half as the Tigers cleaned things up and behind their great tail back Brandon Hueso managed to finally score and cut the deficit 13-7.

Mount Miguel would answer the Hueso score with one of their own as Mugabe Miller found Shemar Green on a little screen pass in which he worked his way to the end zone to extend their lead 20-7 with almost nine and a half minutes left in the third quarter.

The Tigers would claw their way back into the contest as they capped off a drive in the fourth with a 9 yard score by Hueso.

For the Tigers their star back Hueso tallied 265 yards on 38 carries.
