EL CAJON – After stopping the Eagles on the first possession, Granite Hills would take over and march down the field and eventually score as Chris Ostreng found his way into the end zone for an 11-yard score to make it 7-0.

Once again the Granite defense came up big and again was able to get the offense the ball back. This time Ostreng would go through the air to score as he hooked up with Nico Snow for a 52-catch and score to make it 14-0.

Another defensive stop and the Eagles were in business as they pushed offensively to the 9-yard line of Southwest El Centro. Not wanting to be shut out of the scoring party, Ethan Raymond took the handoff and punched it in for the score to give Granite Hills a 21-0 lead. They would tack on a 37-yard field by Justin McElligott to push the lead 24-0 to end the first quarter.

It was all Eagles as they marched down the field in the second quarter where Ostreng would bowl his way in for a 1-yard touchdown to extend the lead 31-0.

They would finish out the scoring after another defensive stop when Ostreng found Carlos Deleon for a touchdown to close out the first half and also the Eagles scoring.

On the night for Granite Hills, Chris Ostreng accounted for 4 touchdowns which included 2 passing and 2 rushing.

With the victory, the Eagles move to 5-0 and continue one of their best seasons in a few years and next week will take on their rival the Steele Canyon Cougars to open up league play.
