CHRISTIAN 29, THE KING’S ACADEMY 27

The Patriots who were coming off of the big victory the week before against El Capitan traveled all the way up to Northern California for their game on Friday. Now early on the Patriots were able to lead 9-0 thanks to an Owen Easley touchdown and a field goal by Karson Norton who nailed it from 35-yards out.

However, maybe the fatigue started setting in as the King’s Academy finally got on the board to pull within a couple of points. However, Easley was able to put the Patriots up by ten points 16-6 as he found Justin Roehl in the end zone.

Unfortunately, the lead didn’t last as King’s Academy cut the Patriot’s lead going into the break 16-13.

However again the Patriots extended their lead as Easley was able to score what would end up being the only score of the third quarter to give Christian the 23-13 lead.

The King’s Academy again cut the deficit as they scored on a 43-yard pass in the fourth quarter to pull within three points but Christian was able to hold on.

With the victory, the Patriots improved their record on the season to 2-0 and will take on the Santana Sultans on Friday night out at Granite Hills.
