The new look Patriots took on the scrappy Cougars from San Ysidro in the West Hills Tournament. The Patriots took off early, led by Junior guard Jackson Larsen who was able to shred San Ysidro’s man press by getting behind the defense for what would be easy layups and high flying dunks.

Junior sharpshooter Isaiah Robinson knocked down back to back 3-pointers in the 2nd quarter, to stretch the Patriots lead in the 1st half to 25 points. The Patriots looked to be too much for the young Cougars with a commanding 56-24 lead going into the half. Immediately in the the 3rd quarter, the cougars were on the prowl, forcing to the Patriots into turnovers and quick fouls. The Cougars went on a ferocious 25-8 run, forcing Coach Davion Famber to call a timeout to fire the Patriots back up. Senior point guard Nashom Carter began to control the game by finding his teammates and slashing to the basket with some fantastic finishes at the rim. Carter finished the game with his 1st triple-double of the season with (11 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assist) while his battle buddy Jackson Larsen closed the game out with (35 points/15 rebounds). Juniors Isaiah Robinson finished with (14 points), while Jordan Gaines contributed with(6 steals/ 7 rebounds/4 assists).
