Another late inning magic by the Patrick Henry Patriots as Dante Juliano (2-5, 2 RBI) with the game tied at 1-1 in the ninth inning was able to break it with a two-run single.

Patrick Henry (15-5-1) who came into the days action on a roll were able to continue the momentum as Juliano led off with a single, a couple of batters later after a double play Ryan Preciado (1-5, R) singled, he would score when Mateo Medina (1-3, 2R, RBI, 2B) roped a double to make it 1-0, moments later Jonathan Marshall (2-4, RBI) knocked in Medina to give the Patriots a 2-0 lead.

Canyon Crest (8-12) responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the first inning to pull within 2-1.

Neither team was able to do anything offensively as each teams pitcher shut down the bats thus the game would still be a one run lead for the Patriots heading into the sixth inning.

After a one out walk to Medina, Marshall followed with a base hit to give Patrick Henry runners at first and second, a couple batters later with two outs Jake Lowery would come in for Marshall.

With two outs and runners on first and second Andrew McAlpin (2-4, 2 RBI, 3B) came to the plate and roped a ball to left field that went for a two-run triple which gave the Patriots a 4-1 lead.

Things got really interesting in the bottom off the sixth inning as the Ravens would answer with three runs to tie the game at 4-4.

After neither team scored in the seventh inning the game went into extra innings. Both teams held each other in the eighth inning.

A walk to Garrett McKee (RUN), moments later Ryan Miller (2-4, R, 2B) roped a double which set up the dramatical finish for the Patriots.

Sam Garwel took the loss for the Ravens as he went 3.1 innings in relief in which he gave up 2 runs on 4 hits.

Picking up the victory for the Patriots was McAlpin who came in an tossed 3.2 innings in relief in which he gave up 0 runs on 0 hits while striking out 4.

Patrick Henry with the win extends their winning streak to 4 game in a row.




Big day at the plate for Santana sophomore Cole Contreras (2-4, 2R, 5 RBI, 2B, 3B) as he drove in 5 runs including a two-run double in the first inning and a three-run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning on Tuesday afternoon.

The Sultans would start their offensive onslaught in the bottom of the first inning when Brandon Glowacki (2-4, R, 2B) scored on a passed ball to make it 1-0, Tyler Glowacki (1-3, R, RBI, SB) would steal third base and score when Tyler Fitzgerald (1-3, R, 2 RBI) singled, Ben Hart (1-2, R, SB) would also score on the base hit which made it 3-0.

After the two-run double by Contreras, Jared Forester (1-3, 2 RBI, 2B, SB) followed with a two-run double of his own scoring both Contreras and Aidan Donovan (3-3, 2R, RBI, 3 SB) to extend the lead to 7-0.

Stockdale would push across a run in the top of the second inning to make it 7-1.

Another run by the Mustangs in the top of the third inning made it 7-2.

Santana answered with a run in the bottom of the third inning to make it 8-2.

A side from the three-run triple by Contreras in the bottom of the sixth which gave the Sultans an 11-2 lead, Donovan would follow with a base hit to bring home Contreras which rounded out the scoring for Santana.

Picking up the win for the Sultans was Riley Hamilton who gave up 3 hits in his 3.2 innings of work in which he struck out 1.



With the game tied after four innings of play the Clovis North Broncos managed to push across runs in the fifth and sixth innings to secure the victory over Santana on Tuesday evening.

The Broncos who came into the contest ranked #2 in the Central Section of California and in the top 50 of the entire state of California scored the games first run in the top of the fourth inning.

Santana would answer right back in the bottom of the inning starting with Tyler Fitzgerald (2-3, R) who led off with a walk, Sean Iverson followed by reaching on an error and Davin Burroughs (1-1) laced a single that loaded the bases.

With one out the Sultans knew they needed they could do some damage but unfortunately only push across a single run on a base hit by Aidan Donovan (1-2, RBI) that scored Fitzgerald.

Clovis North went onto take a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning on a double and in the sixth inning rounded out their scoring.

The Sultans had an opportunity in the bottom of the sixth inning as Burroughs led off being hit by a pitch, with two outs Blake Taylor would also get on via hit by pitch. Neither would advance any further.

Santana in the bottom of the seventh inning could only manage a single by Fitzgerald before Iverson grounded out to end the game.

Ben Hart (1-4) took the mound for the Sultans and pitched a strong 6 innings in which he only gave up 3 runs on 7 hits while walking 4 and striking out 4.

Ryan Jaggard came in and tossed an inning of relief in which he walked 2 and struck out 1 for the Sultans.
