It was one of those games where it was going to be either a great bus ride home or a long bus ride home. Fortunately the Sultans didn’t have to see what it would be like to have a long bus ride home back to the East County.

Santana from the get go really set the tone of the match as they dominated the entire first half as they would put the ball in the net a couple times to lead 2-0 at intermission. The Sultans controlled the half as they kept the ball in Hornet territory the majority of the time.

The second half was more of the same as the Sultans repeated the first half with domination of the ball and also territory. On one of the occasions they were able to take advantage and score to increase their lead to 3-0.

On the night the scoring for the Sultans came way of Mason Moore, Lane Dukes and Omar Nuristani with assists courtesy of Nick Valentine and Nuristani on the other two goals. The Sultans could have done more damage as they dominated the entire field of play taking 28 shots on the night. Also time of possession wise they killed the Hornets with about 90% possession of the ball in the game.

Santana with the victory pushes their record to 4-2-1 and 2-0- 1 in their last three contests and will next take on the Steele Canyon Cougars in continuation of the Grossmont tournament on Saturday at 9:30 AM.
