SULTANS HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE LEADS TO CONVINCING VICTORY

SANTEE (9-13-19) – In front of a jammed packed crowd which included a mini Sultans cheer clinic along with the Santee Ravens the Santana Sultans put on their own clinic against the Red Devils.

For the second straight week, a running clock format would be instituted as the offense for the Sultans clicked on all cylinders starting with a 28-yard haul in by Brooks Moutaw from Nathan Temple for the score to make it 7-0.

Nathan Temple would extend 14-0 for the Sultans when he scampered in from 2-yards out and he would cap off the quarter with a 39-yard pass and score to Randy Smith which made it 21-0.

In the second quarter a 28-yard pass and catch by Moutaw would once again set up Temple for his fourth touchdown pass on the night when he connected again with Smith on a 15-yarder to extend the score 35-0.

Prior to his fourth touchdown pass on the night Temple would connect with Dean Landers for his third of the evening.

Moutaw would add another score in the third quarter to push the lead to 42-0, and finally, in the fourth quarter Drew Temple who came into replace his brother Nathan would hook up with Ethan Wright for a 49-yarder and the final score of the evening.

On the night, Nathan Temple threw four scores and moving closer to the forty touchdown mark for 284 yards on 18-of 25 passing while Smith would haul in 3 balls for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brooks Moutaw would rack up 140 yards of total offense and 2 scores on the night for the Sultans.

Santana defeated the Red Devils for the first time since they played them back in 2007 and won 45-14.

With the loss, the Red Devils drop to 1-3 and will take on Mount Miguel in Spring Valley next week while the Sultans stay undefeated and move to 4-0 and will travel down to the South Bay to take on the Montgomery Aztecs.
