EASTLAKE 52, VALHALLA 0

The Titans who were coming off the shutout victory the previous week of another EastCounty foe in Grossmont 35-0 came inland this time and put up the same results as they romped to victory over the Norseman.

Valhalla had one thing going for them in that it was homecoming and that would be the only thing celebrated as the Titans showed their might right away as they rolled up 42 points in the first half.

Eastlake (4-1) would move the ball on their very first drive and score on an 8-yard pass from Rich Colmenero III to Darius De Los Reyes. On the kickoff, the Titans would recover an onside kick attempt after a penalty moved the ball up.

They would eventually score again after converting a short fourth down play as Sebastian Scholl would find the end zone. Eastlake showed no mercy as they repeatedly hammered the Norseman defense. On one of the drives, AJ Hernandez rumbled his way for 35-yards down into Valhalla territory where they would punch it in and on another Kevin Bateman would make an incredible catch in the back of the end zone to give the Titans a three-score lead.

They would cap off the opening quarter with another score for their fourth of the quarter.

Eastlake would score on an 80-yard connection by Colmenero to De Los Reyes down the middle where he would score untouched.

It was all Titans in the first half as they scored six touchdowns and pretty much left any doubts behind.

Valhalla did have a first-half highlight as both Connor Nagel and Zach Larson combined on a sack.

The other Valhalla highlight was that Shawn Mwangi was crowned homecoming king at halftime.
