The Wolf Pack looked to rebound after the emotional game last week against the El Capitan Vaqueros and there wasn’t anyone better to do it against than the El Cajon Valley Braves who were looking for their first win of the season.

However, the Pack had other ideas as they were able to move the ball down the field into Braves territory when Jordin Young would call his own number and find his way into the end zone for the 9-yard score to lead 6-0. The Braves had an opportunity to respond but the West Hills defense was able to force the big turnover as Trent Oberg picked off the pass giving the ball back to West Hills.

With the ball at the twenty-five-yard line of the Braves the Pack was able to score as they would get the long touchdown run and with the Jack Browning, extra point extend the lead 13-0. Later on, in the second quarter, Jack Browning would nail a 13-yard field goal to give the Wolf Pack a 23-0 lead.

They would extend their lead 30-0 when Young was able to hook up with Kole Klingerman in the second quarter with about 8 minutes to go.

El Cajon Valley after receiving the kickoff would start the possession at their own 25-yard line. What would occur next led to some major confusion as what looked like an incomplete pass and everyone stopped thinking the play was dead but with instruction from the coaches on the sideline to keep going Chance Johnson picked up the ball and ran it 75-yards for the score as he out hustled the last defenders. What was really confusing was the fact that everyone thought the play was dead but the whistle was never blown, however on the replay the ball looked like it was a forward pass that fell incomplete but in real time the officials saw otherwise.

The crazy score by the Braves didn’t matter as the Wolf Pack quickly recovered and Izayah Fussell from the West Hills 20-yard line took the handoff and was able to find his way to the 43-yard line of the Braves for the 37-yard run. The long run would set up a 6-yard touchdown pass from Young to Travis Deal to put the Pack up 37-6.

In the second half, the Pack was able to extend their lead thanks to a Browning 15-yard field goal to go up 40-6.

El Cajon Valley would score again as Johnson ran for a 30-yard score to make it 40-13.

West Hills would score another touchdown to lead 47-13.
