The Wolf Pack are coming off of a 6-5 (2-3) 2017 campaign and with everything in place from new strength and conditioning coach to new attitude look for big things in 2018. This season brings a lot of optimism to the West Side of Santee as the Wolf Pack bring back junior starting quarterback Jordin Young who will lead 8 total returners which includes 5 on offense and 3 on defense.

Last season as a sophomore Young threw for just under a thousand yards and 12 TDs and also ran for 467 yards and a score. Even though some of the offense graduated this season will bring new stars such as Hunter Gauthier who scored a couple of times.

Scheduling-wise the Pack always play a tough pre-league schedule which includes this season road trips down to the Valley to play El Centro Southwest, down to the South Bay to play the Chula Vista Spartans and also a home game against rival El Capitan which last season came down to the final minute of play.

Another difference this season for the Pack is the fact that they switch over the Valley league from Hills league where they were last season. Even though they consider themselves underdogs it is predicted that the league will come down to their game against league favorite the Monte Vista Monarchs on the very last night of the regular season.

West Hills was also moved down to Division III which will be one of the more exciting Divisions to watch in the playoffs as it includes defending Division IV CIF Champions Monte Vista, El Capitan, Christian, University City, La Jolla, Santa Fe Christian among others.

So be sure to check out the video as we talk to both Jordin Young and Hunter Gauthier as they give a breakdown of this year’s squad among other things.
